Results for the 98th. More Work to Do.

Two years ago, you sent me to Madison to fight for safer communities, lower taxes, honest elections and a government that answers to the people who pay for it. I spent 20 years in law enforcement, and I brought that same mission to the Capitol: show up, do the work and get results.

In my first term, I authored 20 bills, chaired the Speaker’s Task Force on Government Efficiency and Modernization, and served as vice chair of the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. We didn’t just talk about common-sense reforms. We got them done.

I’m running for re-election because there’s more work to do, and I’m asking for your vote on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

What We Got Done

Protecting the people who protect us. I expanded Wisconsin’s “Move Over, Slow Down” law to cover every disabled vehicle on the side of the road, so tow operators, road crews and stranded drivers get the same protection as police and firefighters. It’s now 2025 Wisconsin Act 54.
Restoring confidence in our elections. My bill requiring that only verified Wisconsin residents can circulate nomination and recall petitions is now 2026 Wisconsin Act 126.
Making government run better. I authored reforms to improve efficiency in the state lottery and led the Speaker’s task force on cutting waste and modernizing state government.
Protecting free speech. My bipartisan anti-SLAPP bill, which stops wealthy interests from using frivolous lawsuits to silence ordinary citizens, passed the Assembly.
Cracking down on deadly drugs. I authored tougher penalties for trafficking carfentanil, one of the most lethal drugs on our streets, which passed the Assembly.
Putting ratepayers and local communities first. I helped pass AB 840, which puts guardrails on data center growth so families and small businesses don’t get stuck paying for Big Tech’s power bills, protects our water, and keeps the final say with local communities.

Fighting Even When Madison Says No

The Legislature passed three of my priorities that Gov. Evers vetoed: requiring Wisconsin sheriffs to cooperate with ICE, banning gender-transition surgeries on minors, and reforming the University of Wisconsin. These are common-sense measures that deserve to become law, and I will keep fighting for them.

What I’ll Fight for in My Second Term

Law and order. Back our police, sheriffs and prosecutors, keep violent repeat offenders off our streets, and finally require every sheriff to cooperate with ICE.
Protecting kids. Ban gender-transition surgeries on minors and keep parents in charge of their children’s education.
Lower taxes. Return the state surplus to the families who overpaid, ease the burden on retirees, and keep moving Wisconsin toward a flat income tax.
Holding Big Tech accountable. Make sure data centers pay their own way, never raise your utility bills, and never get built in a community that doesn’t want them.
A government that works for you. Keep cutting waste, modernizing state services and making Madison accountable to the people it serves.

Jim Piwowarczyk grew up in Washington County and graduated from Kewaskum High School. He served nearly 20 years in law enforcement, including as a patrol sergeant, field training officer, evidence technician, and hostage negotiator with the Glendale Police Department. He built and ran five Snap Fitness gyms in southeast Wisconsin, works as a real estate broker, and co-founded Wisconsin Right Now, where he exposed Gov. Evers’ dangerous paroles.
