Rep. Barbara Dittrich of Wisconsin’s 38th Assembly has endorsed Jim Piwowarczyk for Assembly.
Piwowarczyk, 53, the co-editor of Wisconsin Right Now conservative news site, is running for the Assembly District 98, which spans parts of Washington and Waukesha Counties. A small business owner and former law enforcement officer, Piwowarczyk, of the Town of Erin, is running as a Republican.
In a Facebook post, Dittrich said, “It was my great honor to join Jim Piwowarczyk For Wisconsin Assembly District 98 today and give him my endorsement for State Assembly. I look forward to working with Jim to keep our state safe and the future bright for all Wisconsinites.”
Piwowarczyk was previously endorsed by Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann and Washington County Treasurer Scott Henke.
The 98th district includes Hartford, Erin, Richfield, Lisbon, Merton, and Sussex. It has no incumbent.

Last week, Dittrich, R-Oconomowoc, announced that she is running for reelection to the state Assembly. However, due to the redrawing of legislative maps, she is seeking re-election in the 99th District instead of the 38th District.
Dittrich has represented the 38th since 2018.
Piwowarczyk, who is supporting Donald Trump for president, is a lifelong conservative running on a platform of public safety, parents’ rights in schools, delivering tax cuts, and border security, among other issues.
