Town of Erin – The Wisconsin Realtors Association has endorsed small business owner and former police sergeant Jim Piwowarczyk in the 98th Assembly District race, saying he will “protect the American dream of homeownership and preserve private property rights.”
The primary is Aug. 13. Piwowarczyk is a Republican candidate who lives in the Town of Erin. The district spans parts of Washington and Waukesha Counties.
“Jim Piwowarczyk is the WRA’s choice in the 98th Assembly District. He will work to promote and protect the American dream of homeownership and preserve private property rights,” the WRA said in a statement.
“The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) is one of the largest trade associations in the state, headquartered in Madison, Wis. The WRA represents and provides services to more than 17,500 members statewide, made up of practicing real estate sales agents, brokers, appraisers, inspectors, bankers, and other professionals who touch real estate,” WRA’s website says.
“As an entrepreneur, real estate broker and small business owner, I am keenly aware of the pressing economic concerns faced by Wisconsinites these days, and I am deeply committed to improving our job climate, getting regulations off the backs of small business owners and farmers, and helping create an economy that fosters the ability for people to buy homes and thrive,” Piwowarczyk said. “I am humbled by WRA’s endorsement.”
Piwowarczyk, who was a police officer and sergeant for almost 20 years, is the co-founder of Wisconsin Right Now.com, Wisconsin’s leading conservative news site. He is also a real estate broker. There is no incumbent in the 98th Assembly race. The district includes Hartford, Richfield, the Town of Erin, Merton, Sussex, and Lisbon.
Piwowarczyk, 54, has growing momentum in the race; he has also been endorsed by top local leaders, like Washington and Waukesha County Sheriffs Marty Schulteis and Eric Severson, County Executive Josh Schoemann, DA Mark Bensen, and the Washington County Deputy Sheriff’s Association. The latter called him a “staunch supporter of the righteous.”
